This is Bob. He’s five years old and a sweet, healthy boy. His eyes are bright blue, his nose is freckled, and his coat is thick and plush. We adopted him from the shelter in August. He keeps himself immaculately clean, and he ALWAYS uses the litter box. He doesn’t like to be picked up, but he loves to sit in laps and cuddle in the bed. He has a deep, loud, and luscious purr.
Bob was declawed by a previous owner and came to us very obese. He weighed 20.4# the day we brought him home from the shelter, and our vet says a healthy weight for him would be 12-14#. We’ve managed to get him down to 19.2# by measured feeding, but that’s become more difficult lately as we recently adopted a dog who doesn’t always eat her food right away, and if no one is watching, Bob gets into the dog’s food and….diet derailed. He’s playful and feels good, but in order to remain healthy long-term he really needs to get some weight off. He would be best in a home where his food intake could be controlled.
In our home, Bob has lived with two different dogs. According to the shelter in his previous home he lived happily with other cats as well. I’m glad to answer any questions you might have about Bob. He’s a good, sweet kitty with lots of love to give.
