We’ve had Ginger for about two and a half years, prior to that she was a show dog. She was retired after she had a litter of puppies.
She’s a sweet heart that really just wants to be a lap dog. We since have adopted a special needs baby and no longer have the time to spend sitting with Ginger on my lap. Ginger started having some regressive behavior (peeing, marking certain places on the floor) and with our big change in family needs we just realistically do not have the time to put into working her thorough this. We want her to go to a good home with someone who’s got the time to give her. She is protective (barks when visitors knock or when the parcel delivery comes and can get snappy at the men drivers).
She does fine with other animals (cats, dogs, chickens) and does good with kids. She is a little more shy of toddlers (grabby fingers, hair pullers) & avoids them if they’re making her uncomfortable, but doesn’t show any signs of aggression at all. She likes men fine but definitely prefers women.
We love her and really just want her to be in a home that has the time to give her that we really don’t.
